Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) for the academic year 2023 for graduate students

The Embassy of Japan in Egypt will initially select 10 candidates through document examination, language examinations and interviews, those selected as primary candidates by the Embassy will be nominated for MEXT for the second screening.

Qualifications and conditions

* The applicant must be Egyptian
* The applicant must be under 35
* Bachelors/Masters/PhD holders with a minimum grade point average of 75%/GPA 3 out of 4

 (all courses attended to date) (including graduates of the academic year 2020/2021)
* English Proficiency: IELTS 6.0- / TOEFL iBT 79- / CEFR B2-
* Japanese (for Japanese majors only): JLPT N2-
* Researchers return to their institution after studying in Japan (also, those who are not affiliated with a research institution cannot apply)
