Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Unit

 
Introduction:
 The unit of genetic engineering and biotechnology at Mansoura University, which is estimated to be worth about six million pounds, was established based on the contract (38) concluded between Mansoura University and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology with funding of three million pounds from the Academy in addition to what the university completed in the construction process and the unit was opened in 2011. Equipments
 
Mission and Vision:
 The aim of the genetic engineering and biotechnology unit is to transfer laboratory research on biotechnology and genetic engineering from the laboratory level to the semi-industrial applied level in preparation for its transfer to the industrial level.
The unit is not a unit that conducts scientific research, but rather a unit that provides services to researchers, research and industry for material as well as contributes to supporting the educational process.
 
Aims:
 From its inception to date, the Unit conducts analyses of some of the incoming students, graduate students and researchers in the faculties of the university and other universities (faculties of science, medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, agriculture and dentistry) using the various unit devices, which include microbiological analyses and chemical analyses related to different fields to contribute to the output of scientific messages and applied research in relation to the field of specialization of the unit.
