Call for UNESCO / KALINGA Prize for Science Dissemination of 2019

The National Commission for UNESCO announces the opening of the UNESCO / KALINGA Prize for Science Dissemination for 2019, in which FAO Member States participate.

The prize is awarded to those working in the field of dissemination and simplification of science, research and general technology and enriching the cultural heritage of nations at the national, regional or international levels.

The award is worth US $ 40,000, a certificate and a silver medal on behalf of UNESCO - Albert Einstein; the Ministry of Science and Technology of India offers a certificate and a cash grant of US $ 5,000, and the winner is invited to visit India for two to four weeks.

 - Description of the candidate's achievements and scientific history.

A letter of recommendation.

Summary of work and results on dissemination of science including publications and supporting documents.

Description of how to contribute to the work of the candidate in the dissemination of science.

The candidate has contributed to the achievement of the dissemination of science and a prominent position to enable the translation of science, research and technology and delivery to the public, whether nationally, regionally or internationally.

The nomination papers (SOFT & HARD) can be submitted to the Director General through the National Committees. Individual nominations are not allowed, with the submission of five copies in English or French by 10 May 2019. And that the deadline for nomination to UNESCO is 30/5/2019..
