New Call for Proposals for SESAME beamtime 2018
The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announces that proposals for the first half of 2019 are being accepting
the first two SESAME Beamlines (XAFS/XRF and IR microspectroscopy).
To submit proposals, interested scientists should first register with the SESAME User Office. This can be done at (https://sup.sesame.org.jo) following the instructions therein.
Before submitting a proposal, interested scientists are encouraged to contact the two SESAME beamline scientists Gihan Kamel ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and Messaoud Harfouche (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for proposals related to the IR and XAFS/XRF beamlines respectively, who can advise on the technical possibilities of the instruments available at SESAME.
They should also consult the SESAME User Policy at (http://www.sesame.org.jo/sesame 2018/for-users/user-guide/sesame-user-policy) which governs access to the laboratory. SESAME practices an open access policy, with no restriction on the nationality of its users or the institution from which they come.
Users from one of the SESAME Members (http://www.sesame.org.jo/sesame 2018/about-us/members-sesame) whose home institution is unable to cover their travel and lodging expenses may apply for funds made available by the Lounsbery Foundation for this purpose.
The deadline for receiving proposal is on October 20, 2018 at 23:59, Jordanian time
