OPEN Call for SESAME Training Fellowships 2017

The International Centre for Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Applications in the Middle East (SESAME) is established in Jordan, under the auspices of UNESCO. 

Its mission is to promote international collaboration in the Middle East and neighbouring countries using synchrotron light for basic and applied research in physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, the environment, medicine, archaeology and other research areas of relevance to the Region.

The overall objective of OPEN SESAME is to support the training needs of SESAME Light Source and to ensure its efficient exploitation by researchers across the eight SESAME Members. It may worth to mention that Egypt is a founding member of the SESAME Centre, and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology is the official representative of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the SESAME Board.

The Academy announces that all Egyptian scientists and researchers from universities, institutes and research centres are invited to apply for SESAME fellowship, to conduct their research at the Master's and PhD level within a period of 4 to 12 weeks.
