The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announces the appointment of the Synchrotron-Light Science and Experimental Science Manager in the Middle East (SESAME), which will become vacant in January next year.

Applications for the position of Scientific Director are being sought for the establishment of SESAME in Jordan, under the auspices of UNESCO. Its mission is to promote international cooperation in the Middle East and the Mediterranean region by using synchrotron light to conduct basic and applied research in physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, environmental and medical investigations, archaeological studies and other areas of research relevant to the region.
