Advanced Materials Interface magazine publishes research by Dr. Mahmoud Khalifa, Department of Physics
The Journal of Advanced Materials Interface, with an impact factor of 6.1, chose the research of Dr. Mahmoud Khalifa (Assistant Instructor, Department of Physics, Mansoura University, and PhD researcher at China University of Science and Technology) as a distinguished research, topping the back cover of its ninth issue, published on January 5, 2022.
This paper deals with the development of solar cell units with poles partially covered with nanometer plates, to be used in electrochromic devices, which change their optical properties (transparency and color) according to the applied voltage. That device developed in the research can change its color from dark blue in the sun to transparent at night. That is why these solar cell modules can be used in smart windows (which change color depending on the degree of sunlight) without the need for an external electricity source and can also provide energy to support many electronic devices.
