On Wednesday 12th January 2022, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, President of Mansoura University opened new expansions at Communications and Information Technology Center, Mansoura University, as an essential step to promote Intlaaq Company.

The attendees were: Prof. Mohamed Abdel-Azeem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University and the Executive Manager of Information at the University, a number of Deans of the University’s Faculties, Prof. Sherief Keshk, Director of Communications and Information Technology Center at the University, Prof. Mustafa Saleh, Former Director of the Center, Prof. Mohamed ElSaied, Former Director of the Center, Mr. Usama Mousa, General Secretary of the University, a number of University’s secretary assistants, and a number of Engineers and employees of the center  .

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset praised the exerted efforts of the staff members of Communications and Information Technology Center as well those who managed and participated in its uniqueness since its foundation. He added that the center is considered an essential pillar of Mansoura University within the framework of the university’s Fifth Generation of digital transformation. Further, the center thanks to its services, achieved the University’s goal in receiving the first place among the public Universities in the field of Digital Transformation and the Government Excellence Award from the Ministry of Planning due to receiving the best website award among the Egyptian Universities. He noted that Intlaaq Company is the only one among the Egyptian Universities which highlights Mansoura University’s benefits from the law that allows the universities to invest and participate in projects.

Prof. Sherief Keshk praised the continuous support of Mansoura University’s Presidents for Communications and Information Technology Center since its foundation in 1998 as well as the administrative staff and people who worked in it. Besides, he presented the development of the center starting from establishing the research and email unit at the Faculty of Engineering in 1995, followed by establishing the center as a special unit in 1998. In addition to, the establishment of the second floor of the center in 2000 till reaching the current construction by opening the third floor that consists of 10 rooms for the engineers and programmers’ offices equipped by the recent technology with total cost of 6 million Egyptian Pounds. Moreover, the current construction transformed the center iِnto information technology company that offers various services of networks, communication and programming. He noted that the center currently deals with 30 operating system and handles all digital matters at the Universities’ sectors. Besides, it cooperates with all Egyptian Universities and two universities at Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in operating the systems of Students’ Affairs, employees and University’s hostels. He noted that the employees are looking forward to handling artificial intelligence and data analysis.
