A delegation from Mansoura University participated in the International Erasmus+ Week at the University of Pitești, in Romania to exchange academic experiences 

and develop the international cooperation in a number of scientific disciplines between the two universities. In accordance to the cooperation agreement signed between the two universities on 17 September 2018 under the supervision of Prof. Ashraf Swelem, Vice President for Post-graduate Studies and Research.

The delegation included: Prof. Mohamed Salah, Director of the Office of International Relations and Coordinator of Cooperation, Prof. Ahmed Al-Jaraihi, Professor of Astrophysics, Faculty of Science, Prof. Sumaya Abdel Hamid, Former Dean of the Faculty of Kindergarten, Dr. Samah Ramadan, Lecturer at the Faculty of Kindergarten, Dr. Ayoud Al-Sheikh, Lecturer of Pediatric Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Marwa Fathallah, Lecturer of nursing critical cases in the Faculty of Nursing.

The members of the delegation lectured a number of academic lectures to the students of the University of Pitești in the corresponding disciplines of the faculties of science, education, engineering and nursing. These lectures will reflect the importance of exchanging experiences in providing students with academic diversity through international experience. On the other hand, the University of Mansoura receives a number of professors of European universities for academic exchange, transfer of expertise in all faculties and disciplines of the university.

The delegation met with Professor Demetro Kirlshan, President of the University of Pitești, Prof. Mihaila Diaconu, Chairman of the Council of Elders, and Dr. Emmanuel Swar, Vice President for International Relations. The two sides discussed means of developing future cooperation through exchange of experiences and academic programs, joint supervision of scientific theses and participation in European projects.

The Romanian side expressed its gratitude for the commitment of the members of Mansoura University to the program of exchange and serious and effective participation in a number of activities organized by the University of Pitești.
