Today on Sunday 31th October 2021, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, President of Mansoura University and Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, Vice-President of the University for Postgraduate Studies participated in the events of the honorary ceremony of Egyptian universities that are excellent in international publishing. The ceremony was organized by the Supreme Council of Universities in cooperation with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. Further, it comes in the framework of the cooperation between the Supreme Council of Universities and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and the auspices of the international publisher, Clarivate.

The attendees were: Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghafaar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Tarek Shawqi, Minister of Education and Technical Education and the General Supervisor of Egyptian Knowledge Bank, Dr. Mohamed Abdullatif, The Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, the Chairman of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, a number of presidents and vice-presidents of Egyptian Universities as well as deans, a number of faculty teaching staff members and public figures.

During the ceremony, the two ministers honored the Egyptian universities that have outstanding contributions. Mansoura University won the first place among the Egyptian universities that are ancient in founding and excellent in international publishing. Thus, this progress helps raising the impact factor of scientific publishing in Web of Science website through the past three years of international publishing.

The Faculty of Medicine was honored as it received the first place among the faculties that included the highest number of researchers of highly impact factor researches in medical fields among the highest 14 research fields in publishing that Egypt is distinguished of. The university won the fourth place in journals of Egyptian universities that were published in Arabic Language and were listed in ARCI.
