Mansoura University Participates in the Events of the Second Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research (GFHS) for the Year 2021

 

Mansoura University Participated in the Events of the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research (GFHS) under the title, “The Future’s Vision”. The forum was held from 8th to 10th December 2021 at the New Administrative Capital and under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Egypt/ Abdel-Fattah Alsisi.

The events of the forum were concluded on Friday 10th December 2021 by the final session entitled “The Youths who Change the Game’’. The final session was headed by Prof. Sameh Kamel, the international Youth Activist, and the lecturers were the followings:

- Mr. Karam Gaber, Head of the Higher Council of Media.

-  Prof. Ashraf Abdel- Basset, President of Mansoura University.

  • Rebiou Nyzaza, Associate professor at the Faculty of Social Communication, Catholic University of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
  • Kavita Shukla, Vice-President of Students Affairs at Amity University in Dubai.
  • Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO of Coursera Company.
  • Abdel-Rahman Badawy, Director of the Public Relations at Arab Youth Center, League of Arab States.

During the final session of the forum, Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, President of Mansoura University presented a PowerPoint presentation about the developments at Mansoura university included its digital transformation. Besides, he pointed out Mansoura University’s experience regarding the electronic platform application which helped online teaching during Covid-19 pandemic as well as offering a special application for the university’s students.

Further, he noted the results of the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions included the change in the future jobs requirements and the disappear of many current jobs. He added that technology offered the capability of fulfilling many job tasks from any place without being inside the place of work. He invited the youth to recognize the importance of acquiring technological skills to build a generation that can lead and serve the community. He considered this change a social responsibility that requires the merge between the educational system included the content as well as the teaching staff members and students, and the technological changes. In addition, he stressed on the importance of moving into the fourth generation universities.
