Today on 20 February 2022, Mansoura University organized “Children’s University Forum 2022’’ under the framework of its celebration of the Golden Jubilee. This forum was held at the Conference Hall, the Administration Building of the university, under the patronage of Prof. Mustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghafaar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The forum was headed by Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset, President of Mansoura University and Prof. Mahmoud Sakr, The Chairman of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.

The attendees were: Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset , President of Mansoura University , Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, Vice-President of the University for Postgraduate and Research Affairs, Prof. Magda Nasr, former Vice-President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Azza Esmail, Supervisor of TICO Office at the University,  a number of the deans of university’s faculties who participated in Children’s University Project, Dr. Amr Ahmed Gabr, Coordinator of the Children’s University Project at Mansoura University, the teamwork of the project, Mr. Usama Mousa, the General Secretary of the University and his assistants , and the University students of the Children’s university and their parents.

Prof. Ashraf Abdel-Basset pointed out that this forum targets promoting the Children’s University project and launching the training events in new stage. He added that the forum of Children’s university is organized under the cooperation protocol between the Academy Scientific Research and Technology and Mansoura University. This protocol aims to spreading the spirit of the scientific research and innovative skills development for children for a better future for them. He congratulated the parents for their encouragement of their children to try the children’s university despite of the difficulties. He praised the exerted efforts by the teamwork of the Children’s University project at Mansoura University. Further, he promised that the University will support this project continuously. 

Prof. Ashraf Tarek Hafez, confirmed the importance of the University’s Children project in developing the skills of the children and help them defining the field of their study at the university. He added that the study will begin by next summer with 270 new students.  He stressed on promoting the project in Dakahlia Governorate to fulfill its target.

Dr. Amr Gabr noted that forum offers chances for the students of the Children’s University project in order to make them express their feelings and problems through discussion sessions presented by them. These sessions target the children’s hidden skills in evaluating problems in scientific and research way and try to come up with best solutions though three levels: online education, nutrition and children’s health, and children’s behavior and bullying.

Mrs. Mona Hosny Ismaiel gave a word to the parent of the students of Children’s University Project as she expressed her glad towards the exerted effort by the university’s professors who participated in the project. Their effort helped the students to gain students in younger age and supported them to choose the right faculty that is suitable for their skills.
